Consulting and software development

Since 2009 we have been taking automotive control units apart and writing the software to work on them, and building colour formulation software for paint manufacturers for just as long. That experience is available on a project basis to workshops, tool manufacturers, and companies that need embedded, reverse engineering or desktop software expertise.

Reverse engineering

Firmware analysis, protocol recovery over CAN and K-line, EEPROM and FLASH layouts, checksum algorithms, documentation of undocumented units.

Embedded firmware

Microcontroller firmware, bootloaders, diagnostic and flashing protocols, hardware bring-up and bench interfaces.

Custom tooling

Flashers, test rigs, bench tools and the desktop software that drives them, built the way we build our own.

Desktop software

Native, cross-platform applications in Ada and other systems languages. Small, fast, single-binary, from Windows XP to current macOS and Linux.

Colour and tinting software

Formulation software for the paint industry: tinting machine control, colour matching with spectrophotometers and colorimeters, formula databases with online updates, point-of-sale workflows for resellers.

Open source support

Commercial support, sponsored features and consulting on Adi2 and our other public projects.

Track record

Software in daily use since 2009

Alongside our own tools, we develop and maintain the tinting system software that paint manufacturers ship to their dealer networks: the application behind the counter that drives the dispensing machine and turns a colour choice into a formula.

Building materials group

Tinting system for an Italian multinational with over 600 points of sale. Stand-alone at the counter, with online distribution of formulas, products, technical and safety data sheets, and custom formulation requests routed back to the manufacturer's colour lab.

Industrial and refinish paints

Colour management and dispensing machine control for a paint manufacturer serving industrial painters and automotive body shops. Quantity by surface area, cost per can, two-component products, on-screen colour preview.

Industrial coatings

Tinting software for a coatings manufacturer's solvent, water-based and epoxy lines, distributed to resellers supplying batches of every size to third-party painters and small industry.

Technology

Desktop clients in Qt and C++ on Windows, SQL databases, serial and USB control of dispensing machines, spectrophotometer and colorimeter integration. Web services in Elixir and Phoenix for formula distribution, updates and the manufacturer's back office.
