Adi2

active Apache-2.0

A GUI library for Ada. A widget toolkit on SDL3 with CSS styling and live reload, XML layouts compiled to Ada, transitions, SVG and Lottie, gettext-style i18n and single-binary asset bundling.

What it does. Style widgets in ordinary CSS and watch the running window restyle on save. Describe the UI in XML, compiled to typed Ada packages, or build the same tree in plain Ada. Render HTML-style rich content, raster images, SVG and Lottie animations. Ship one statically linked executable under 10 MB with fonts, images and translations bundled in.

Where it runs. GNU/Linux, Windows from XP to 11, macOS, and the browser through WebAssembly. Rendering goes through SDL’s renderer, so it takes hardware acceleration where available and falls back to software where it isn’t.

Status. In production use, before a stable release. APIs still change between versions. The full roadmap, from a visual designer to accessibility and pluggable backends, is in the repository.

Commercial support and sponsoring. Adi2 is independently developed and maintained by Aldus Technology. Organisations that need guaranteed response times, a specific feature, port or integration, or private consulting on an Adi2 application can reach us at adi@aldustechnology.com. Sponsorship funds maintenance, cross-platform testing and the public roadmap.
